Paper 1 is a written exam of 1 hour 45 minutes.

It is worth 55% overall and there will be 98 marks on offer.

Section A is made up of the five core topics and will comprise multiple choice, short answer and open-response questions.

Section B will include two extended open response questions , focusing on debates in psychology, and how different areas of psychology are related.
