Sampling methods commonly used in qualitative studies

The guide mentions the following methods and these are commonly terms associated with qualitative research methods, however, qualitative researchers may also use opportunity and/or volunteer. Qualitative researchers are unlikely to use random sampling, as they do not use statistics to analyse their data and therefore do not need representative samples in the same way as quantitative researchers.
